Our parish essentially follows the Russian Liturgical Tradition.
We are of diverse Orthodox backgrounds, including Russian, British, Romanian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Polish.
We have worshipped together for about 40 years with the Greek Orthodox Community of the Holy Trinity (a parish under the jurisdiction of
Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira & Great Britain - Ecumenical Patriarchate) in the Orthodox Church of the Annunciation and the Holy Trinity, at 1 Canterbury Rd, Oxford.
The Divine Liturgy is celebrated in our church every Sunday.
The Annunciation parish leads the services according to the Russian Tradition
on the second and the fourth weekends of the month when the Vigil and the Liturgy are celebrated mainly in English and Slavonic.
We also use some Romanian and Greek in our services. See the Schedule of services for more details.
The routine of services includes
Saturdays - Vigil or Vespers at 5:30pm,
Sundays - Divine Liturgy at 10:30am, preceded by Hours (2nd and 4th
week-ends) or Matins (1st and 3rd Sundays).
